mother is mountain is a print that was processed from a photograph that I took while I was exploring the dutch countryside. During this spring time, many lambs are born; this photograph captures a newborn lamb with its mother by its side. I remember that I fell in love with the composition that mother and lambie formed and became enamored on how the mother of the lamb started to look more like a mountain as it was made into a print.

Hey there! I'm an Amsterdam-based artist deeply enamored by the subconscious, nature, the countryside, and the absurd. As a sociologist I'm constantly getting drawn to reflect on culture and on questions of tribal belonging. In my work I like to explore the theme of the collective unconscious, the spirit of objects, and the cycle of life. I have partnered with Danish creative director Rune Degett in some of the photography work. A number of the photos in the collection are a collaboration between Rune and I.
