This form was inspired by the work of Barbara Hepworth. Abs-1 was an early example of my experimentation using 3D printing technology to create forms, from which plaster moulds are made and the piece is slip cast. In Abs 1 and 1a the goal was alsi to see how marbling could be used to bring out shapes which are almost hidden by being light. ay. There is a sense of balance and tranquillity in the shape, with the marbled colours from terracotta clay adding a sense of drama.
