I was given this piece of wood because my neighbour could not split it as firewood. It has been a long time since I have carved in Sycamore, and it comes as a pleasant reaquaintance. The base is a broken German roof tile. For American readers, Sycamore (Ahorn) is not the same as Maple.

He makes hand carved sculptures in wood and stone, prefering to work with locally found materials. Often these materials are from recycled sources.
