Butterfly Sculpture

I am an artist in Charleston, SC focusing on making art out of unwanted objects. Details of butterfly: -Measures at 1 inch in depth, 8 inches in width, and 7 inches in height. -Materials used for the armature were an old cardboard cat scratcher, tissue paper from a birthday party, fabric from a band tee that was too small for me, hot glue, and painter's tape. -Materials used on the outside of the sculpture were papier mache made from flour, water, and the local city newspaper. I used acrylic paint, modeling paste, glitter, glue, and varnish. -The butterfly's main colors are yellow, white, black, pink and orange. There are undertones of lime green. - I used a sawtooth wall hanger on the back to adhere to the wall with a nail. I am hoping that this piece will stay with you forever versus having the materials it was made with in a landfill.
