VIEW IN MY ROOM
These original sculptural artworks are directly evolved from and related to my 3 dimensional origami and 2 dimensional canvas paintings. My Origami designs are drawn into two dimensions and then these flat geometric drawings are transformed into and re-imagined as 3 dimensional sculptures. Designed on a computer and painted and assembled by hand.

"Origami and its conceptual geometry are undoubtedly the most universally consistent art form and language of creation in all the cosmos." "Artist" is a very broad term. I Consider myself to be a Maker, Engineer, Builder, and most importantly Creator. My Saatchi Store emphasizes a Universal Language of physical creation that expresses aesthetic beauty while simultaneously communicating an understanding of geometry, mathematics, and science." As a young(er) child I was introduced to Origami through authors like Tomoko Fuse but similar to most it was a fun childhood hobby at best. I took a decade hiatus before reintroducing myself to the this timeless art form. The paper sculptures that I create contain an average of 3,000+ sheets of paper and are constructed without the aid of any adhesives. The designs and base fold are both original and the paper sizes that I use are typically 3”x3” or 2”x2”. Creating these sculptures begins with a consistent geometric formula on how to mathematically evolve and advance the forms and designs of three dimensional sculptural origami paper puzzles. The complexity of each design is a direct result of the application of mathematics, geometry, symmetry, reflection, rotation, repetition, and mirrored images. In a sense I know how I am going to build a specific design based not upon what I want or think the sculpture should look like but rather by using mathematical principles related to how the geometry varies. Due to the nature of this mathematical approach to these sculptures the final product is more of a result and surprise than a preconceived geometric form. This gives you the blueprint for creating sculptures that have a concrete and yet visually unknown solution. This allows my work to continually evolve, making my sculptures more complex creates an exponentially increasing amount of potential designs. Through hands-on mathematics I create concrete geometric forms that represent 3 Dimensional Organic Designs. Nearly every design I create theoretically expands infinitely in all directions and each specific sculpture is a representation of a physical geometric space that exists within these infinite patterns. My Origami Background has provided me with a unique mindset and background that I am applying to alternative art mediums. All of these works are directly tied to and evolved from my origami sculptures.
