I've been working on this technique with clay porcelain slip. Pouring and manipulating it on a plaster bat, then adding glazes and more slip. The build up is quite interesting.

Though, releasing it from the plaster bat and transferring it to a kiln shelf is not for the faint of hearts.

The ceramic piece is mounted and framed.

As a sculptor, I bring the complex and fleeting emotions that exist within us to life through my work in clay. My creations are influenced by the beauty and diversity found in nature and the human body, expressed through abstract and contemporary forms that balance fluidity and structure. My sculptures, referred to as “Modern Day Relics,” embody the primitive elegance and raw energy of the human experience. Clay, with its unique qualities and personality, is a vital part of my creative process. I approach the material with reverence and devotion, fostering a symbiotic relationship as I sculpt. The clay absorbs and holds onto the stories I tell, enabling me to express narratives with ease and understanding. To me, clay is the flesh of the earth and each piece I create reflects the deep bond I have with this elemental material and my wish to share that connection with the world.
