I have been working with clay during more than 30 years, combined with working as a psychologist and art therapist, accompanying both children and adults in craft and artistic creation My ceramic work is made using manual techniques with refractory stoneware and glazes and oxides fired at 1250º in an electric oven. I use a very particular language that tells us about living organisms, metamorphosis and movement. Each piece evokes, from its organic forms, to nature and its vital drive that shapes matter. This vital drive, which is what shapes us from the first cell of our being, constitutes who we are in essence. According to Henri Bergson (Paris, 1859-Auteuil, 1941), when we abandon the external point of view from which things seem fixed and limited realities, to enter the deepest part of ourselves and grasp, if possible, our being at its source, we realize that freedom is an infinite power. The vital drive is the impulse that makes up all organisms and is therefore the first manifestation of freedom. "The term Tao refers to the great, immeasurable; the term li includes the innumerable vein patterns of the Tao... Li is like a piece of thread with its strands or like a basket... Some strips go one way and others another. It is similar to bamboo fibers. In the vertical direction they are of one type and in the transverse direction, of another. So also the mind contains diverse principles. Sung, Chu Hsi (1130-1200)
