Sophia Harms-van Estrik, sculptor in Amsterdam Statues at liberty and business masterpieces. In my sculptures I look for expressing of the most essential: the emotion. People and animals inspire me, but a good story does it as well, or a remarkable shape or an extraordinary stone. The result can be figurative or abstract – I follow my intuition to find the most appropriate form of expression, in bronze, stone or marble. Classic Schooling and skills were, amongst others, taught in The Netherlands by Jos van Oosterhout at the Gooise Academy for Expressive Arts in Laren and Leo van den Bos in Amsterdam. My works at liberty are found in private collections, with the same dedication I execute commissions such as (family)portraits, company logos, or a present for a special occasion Be my guest at my ARTelier.
