Brooke Johnson is a Dallas-based, professional abstract resin artist. All her pieces are created with vibrant pearlescent mica powders, ink, paints, and resin that incorporates unraveling layers of design with unrestrained spontaneity. Her precise eye for color and innovative techniques with her mica and resin formulas sets her apart from other local resin artists.
Brooke constantly pushes the boundaries of resin and its crystallization process, going from a liquid to a solid state, and has developed a new line of three-dimensional artwork, Resin Impressions. Brooke manipulates and sculpts the resin prior to its solid state and mounts the artwork on clear acrylic panels. She has developed a mounting system on the acrylic bases adding additional dimensionality. Brooke’s artwork unleashes organic movement, depth, and visual aesthetics that simply are not possible with traditional art supplies and mediums.
