ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Limited edition: #12 of 25 Each sculpture has a 'Certificate of Authenticity' signed and numbered by the artist. The edition number is also applied on the back of the wall sculpture by hand. From an original artwork molded with cellulose on a wood board, I create with a mold up to 25 editions resin cast, hand-finished in different ways. This wall sculpture is gilded with golden leaf and then burnished with jewish bitumen. The bitumen collected in the recesses enhances the relief and gives an overall warm shade to the golden leaf. A coat of final varnish ptotects the surface from dust and oxidation. Dimensions: cm 109 x 47 x 3 kg 5 inches 43" x 18" 1/2 x 1" 1/4 lb 11 (The interior views are to approx. scale). The artwork is ready to hang with 2 hidden hooks, the wall hardware is supplied.

My work is deeply influenced by nature, mostly wavy, abstract forms based on what I see on wood, bark, vegetables, animal or a rock formation. I focus on a particular organic texture and I bring it in the circumscripted space of an artwork. My wall reliefs with their three-dimensionality, can be observed from multiple angles and different kinds of lighting will have different impacts on the artwork. The physical textures create patterns of variation that stimulate the sense of sight and touch. I like to create patina on metal finishes since the oxydation is always unpredictable, different and unique. I collaborate with collectors, art consultants and interior designers, creating bespoke pieces of art custom designed for each project.
