About The Artwork

“The freedom of the individual ends where the freedom of others begins”, Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) For a long time I've been thinking about how to actively involve the recipient of a work of art in the design process and give him creative freedom without losing the artist's creative will. In FF 18, for the first time, this was entirely successful. The freedom of the artist and that of the recipient finds its metaphor in the abstract bird's feathers, which can be playfully arranged on the surface using magnets - like a child´s play. The sculpture should be attached to the wall at about 90° to the light source (window) and be able to be swiveled away from the light in order to let its different color effects unfold. The single at their backside colored abstract “feathers” can be placed freely on the white painted metal plate using magnets. The “feathers” are also pivotable on their “feet”. So everyone is free to create their own work of art and to change the shape and color effect as often as their imagination allows. In the end, nature is free to bathe the work of art in different light. The visible colors are reflections of the abstract "feathers" painted behind, which works best with daylight.
