Fish Lips carved in Pop Green Canadian Marble - so cool!
This hard but amazing green marble from Canada was carved into one of Kelly's Lips Series of Sculpture. Inspired by the family's childhood play of making faces, this fish sports large puckering lips. The lovely tail flows as it separates and joins, allowing light to show through the top. The pattern on this stone is amazing in that all sides have a zigzag design in the green layers. It is a hard stone and took a very long time to hand sand and polish. Enjoy!
This stone sculpture measures 17" h x 13" wide x 6" deep and weighs 59 pounds. The shipping crate measures 21.25 x 17.25 x 12.5 inches and weighs an additional 25 pounds.

I am interested in why we do what we do and how thoughts progress. Since I was a child, I watched and touched and listened, trying to make sense of things. It was easy to feel the sadness of life, but also the yin and yang. So, I work to put beauty in front of us. I have been told that my work is “all over the map” but in my mind, everything is connected. I hope you enjoy your visit and will be enticed to view more of my work and writings. Thank you.
