Garden Glass Iridescent Curvy Sculpture

A leaded stained glass panel made with iridescent pink opaque glass with a single stainless steel leg. It is designed and made by me to be placed or 'planted' in the garden, in the front of a border or in a more exposed position or in a large pot inside or outside. The iridescence in the glass causes it to change appearance dramatically with just small changes in light conditions and the angle of viewing. The photos show it in a number of different situations. It is even interesting in shade where the iridescent glass is reflecting whatever light there is. It adds interest in all seasons. Both sides are finished to the same standard, you can choose which you prefer. The pink glass has the iridescent surface on one side (this is not painted on, metal oxide was added to the glass during the manufacturing process by the glass manufacturer) The reverse is red and slightly textured. Because the glass is opaque in sunlight it does not project colour to the north, but due to the shape you do get an unusual shadow as shown in two of the photos. Made with traditional leaded stained glass techniques, it is weather proof, just like church windows. The colour in the iridescent surfaces is different for each sheet of glass making every panel unique. The panel is 51.5cm tall with a 35cm leg (a total of 86.5cm) and is 6.5cm wide. The leg is made with 5mm diameter marine (316) grade stainless steel rod which will never rust. It goes up the full length of the sculpture making it very strong. The last photo shows the reverse, non-iridescent, red side.
