The surface of the water serves as a mirror. Therefore these artworks are named like the brightest stars perceived from Earth. That is why this artwork is titled : SIRIUS, one of the brightest star in our night sky. My sculptures illustrate the infinite diversity of nature of which so much remains to be explored on our planet, such as the immensity of Space, with its unknown planets, stars, and galaxies so mysterious and so far from us. Indeed, marine waters hide an invaluable treasure: extraordinary biodiversity. By making sculptures in natural shells gilded with 24-carat gold, I desire to highlight this diversity and the beauty of underwater nature, which remains unfortunately unknown to us. By continuing the reflection on the Ocean and the Cosmos, strong similarities appeared: this darkness that bathes them both, the extreme conditions which reign there, the unknown area which pushes constantly our humanity to innovate and find a way to explore this uncharted territory. As well as, since the dawn of time, a combination of fear and admiration that they arouse, makes them a tremendous source of inspiration for our imagination.
