Citrus, tomato, etc. Greek semi-white marble from KAVALA, northeastern Greece. Handmade, polished work, that surpasses one day job and that the thickness does not exceed 4-7 mm. Costas Gaïtis was born in 1952 in Greece. 1) He studied Free-hand and Linear drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Marble techniques, Casting techniques, History of Arts, and History of Greek Literature at the “Fine Arts school” of Tinos. 2) With a scholarship he continued his studies at the “ Athens Superior School of Fine Arts”. 3) He continued his postgraduate studies where he attended classes in Plastic Arts at “Paris VIII” (ex Vincennes) University. 4) Immediately afterwards he was admitted to“E.N.S.B.A.” Paris Superior School of Fine Arts”, - (Paris VI University) - to the postgraduate workshop of Sculptor CESAR. 5) In order to perfect his theoretical studies, he was admitted to the D.E.A. (third circle postgraduate studies) of “Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne” University were, he attended seminars in Philosophy of Arts (Aesthetics) by Professor Revault d’ Allonnes, focusing on “Arts and Mathematics”. 6) Personal study for the works (both theoretical and visual) by Paul Klee, Vassili Kandinsky and the Fine Arts School “Bauhaus” in General. During the same time, he gave private lessons of linear, free design, and sculpture.
