Harvest Moon celebrates the bounty of the autumn season, bathed in the glow of a full moon. This ceramic plate is created by fusing black and white stoneware, embellished with glazes and organic grasses that have been dipped in liquid porcelain. Part of the Life Cycles collection, the piece reflects on the complicated relationship between humans and nature—a cycle of abundance, destruction, and rebirth, with resilience at its core. This collection includes five hanging plates: Harvest Moon, Waves Crashing, Washout, Resilience, and The Phoenix Factor. Each plate is crafted from black and white stoneware, using natural elements like twigs and plants dipped in liquid porcelain. The shaping is done entirely by hand, using a simple press mold to keep the organic character of the materials intact.
