Here say Sculpture

I am inspired by form and color where both poles become one and difficult to separate ....as a sculptor I try to achieve this end by combining different metal powders with resins to make my kind of art. I draw a lot of influence from African culture, in this work titled "Here say" or "konkonsa" as translated in my local dialect depicts three young girls in conference and telling on one with her back turned. through this work I try to etch in the minds of my viewer allegory of human pitfalls which can never be eluded when one chooses to become a member of a group or society.so one should be mindful of the fact that what ever you will do whether good or bad people will talk about you,especially close friends, family members and co-workers. African culture thrives on vibrate colors which can be observed through clothes and ornaments by employing various metals am tactfully able to capture the vibrancy in a more solid material. In terms of style, haven grown up observing traditional African wood carvers I seem to have picked bits and pieces and have become comfortable blocking forms which is the technique I used in this depiction and has a semblance of cubism.
