About The Artwork

This piece, hand carved in Carrara Marble is part of a series of work exploring what Mathematicians call Hyperbolic planes.. which in three dimensions behaves a lot like this form.. the surface area expands as the space curves away from itself at every point. This is the third hyperbolic exploration piece I have carved in Marble. It is very tactile and sensual, and the Marble is smooth and fluid and responds beautifully to the changing light.. It will come with sturdy wall plugs and guidance for mounting.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I like to explore materials and form, creating pieces that express my love of the effortless balance and beauty found in the natural world. I am interested in exploring, and honouring the inherent character of the materials, allowing them to speak of their own qualities. Carving is the process through which I find my forms, through the removal of material to reveal the form within..
