La Ragazza di Garda Sculpture

This beautiful stone is the famous Rosso Verona, a very lively and colourful marble found in the mountains north of Verona. I found this particular piece on the shore of Lake Garda. It occurred to me that when wet it was the same color and texture as all the other pink marble we saw around us in buildings, stairs and walls. And there it was, right before us where we sat enjoying our holiday at Garda... At the end of the week I picked it up and sneaked it into my car. Already then I saw the girl in the stone, proudly showing her breasts, teasing and confronting me. It did not take me very long to release her from her rough edges, so here she is : The Girl from Garda The sculpture comes with a black granite soccle.
