MUZA Sculpture

Šárka Hejnová Šárka Hejnová is an artist and costume designer born in Prague. She received her Master’s degree in stage and film costume design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. In her rich professional career she has devoted herself to stage and film costuming, make-up design and interior design. Recently, she has broadened the scope of her art work with mosaics. She creates ceramic images combined with wood and slate and also mosaic walls and table tops. As early as a student did she have the opportunity to work as a costume designer with leading Czech designers, scenographers and stage and film directors. Prof. J. Svoboda, E. Krumbochová, Z. Seydl, M. Macháček, K. Kachyňa, J. Srnec and J. Jakubisko were among those who have influenced her the most. She has cooperated with various institutions in the Czech Republic, e. g. the National Theatre, Laterna Magika, Drama Club, Black Theatre, Czech Television and Barrandov Film Studios. Moreover, she has copious international experience gained while working for the Sydney Opera and various theatres in New York, Geneva, Marseille, Trieste, Bologna, Verona Vienna, Paris, Brussels, Antwerp etc.
