About The Artwork
Susan Freda's dresses are sculptural wonders. Susan employs a self-invented method of weaving to create these stunning sculptural dresses from single strands of wire. The wire is then accented with glass and a dewy layer of resin, giving the dresses vibrancy and shine. Featured here is a woven bodice with sheet copper and hot-fused glass. The copper wire has been oxidized to take on a blue hue.
