I am interested in depicting the impact of great historical events on individual human lives and specifically highlighting the women’s suffering. Two portraits of Marie Antoinette 1789, 1793 four years apart are showing the profound effect of the French Revolution on her life. In 1793 version I am appropriating Jacques-Louis David famous sketch of Marie Antoinette being escorted to the guillotine. Zoja Trofimiuk
