Mermaid in the lagoon 3 Sculpture

Born on the 23rd October 1972 in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), Sebastjan Peršolja is Internationally recognized contemporary artist. Up until today he had a total over 120 solo exhibitions and 80 group exhibition in his home country and around the world. He became famous as the author the "Sceptre of Beauty" which was received to the winner of Miss World in Seychelles, 1998 and bestowing his graphic arts to the 98 representatives, which also competed for the title Miss World. His works are owned by many illustrious and famous personalities, in primis the lyrics and master singer Luciano Pavarotti and are present in many private and public collections on all continents. In 2017 he participated, guest of artist Miro Persolja in the 57th Venice Biennale - International art exhibition with 2 sculptures "The mermaid in the Lagoon" in Carrara marble, present in the enchanting scenography of the gotchic Palace Zenobio, seat of the Armenian republic.Curator Dr.Giorgio Gregorio Grasso. In 2023 he received prestigious Award Jacopo da Ponte from Spoleto Art Factory and his President Dr.Salvo Nughes and Award Premio Maestri a Miami and in 2024 International Award Premio Los Angeles Star dell Arte and Premio Leaders in New York from curator Dr.Barbara Romeo and Effetto Arte Foundation and his Scientific Committe and 1 st Award "Grand Master of art Giotto" Firenze 2024 ,1 Trophy World Art Collection,Cesenatico and Trophy La Palm D,or for Visual Art 2024,Monte Carlo ,Principality of Monaco from Artexpo Gallery,curators Dr.Rosanna Chetta and Dr.Mariarosaria Belgiovine.
