VIEW IN MY ROOM
Soft sculpture on canvas, created during the lockdown in May 2020 for exhibition "Neutral". Natural plant tie dye, up-cycled linen fabric, encrusted with white Agate minerals and mandala-inspired shape, it is an image created with hope to emit peace and harmony to the audience. Help to relax and destress with simplicity and unforced natural beauty. Future holistic. "My exhibition scheduled for July, and we were still unsure, if it would even happen due to extended lockdown. I decided to work and create new Art during this time. My access to materials was limited, so I looked around my studio and near environment. I finded white linen fabric, saved from earlier projects, and started research on the internet on how to create plant dye from plants growing near my studio. I cooked flowers, grass, and leaves in slow process together with fabrics, contemplating strange life, the process, and the experiment. I dried pieces of dyed fabric on a balcony, observing how colours appear in sunlight and sometimes evaporate, creating subtle shades in natural pastel tones. These colours are still in process, changing with time, giving an impression of alive sculpture, infinite life.."

Her understanding and experience with mixed medium truly makes her unique and exciting artist to look at. ---As a mixed media artist who is focus is on textiles, I feel responsibility for the environmental impact the materials I use have in our world. Fabric literally fills planet to the brim, constituting the well-known problem of utilisation and propulsion. Fast fashion overproduction burdens the environment. The fact is that by producing more than we use, we create waste heaps our world. I tried to think about how I could use this total huge abundance of materials for artistic work. Since I remember I have always collected interesting pieces of fabrics, to be used later, sometimes after years, in a hope to use them in creative composition. This how the project was born. Concept to create from impermanent matter, timeless objects of an artistic. decorative value, and extend hopefully infinitely from the life of matter. ---My creative interest and inspirations come from nature, technology, science, observations, exploring new materials and possibilities. My artistic aim is to create images of balance between nature and technology as a good sign for contemporary future---
