About The Artwork

34 (A)“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. (B)I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 (C)For I have come (D)to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 (E)And a person's enemies will be those of his own household. Love rules the World? Maybe, maybe ... But more often it is still a religion. From ancient times to this day, religion has divided people, does not allow them to grow and develop, to know themselves and the world. Religious dogmas and attitudes deprive a person of freedom and will. Because of religion, people fight and die. This idea is reflected in the plaster sculpture by Alexandr Gerassimov "I came not to give you peace, but a sword."
