ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My work is a fusion of Zulu and other African cultural aesthetics that combine to form a universal and futuristic image of a spiritual African ancestral depiction. The marbled paint and resin of the headdress tusks give an exotic, alien mood. The piece illuminates from within the light well (Light from within the sternum). It will illuminate the room for an intimate setting. My work is inspired by Chukes and Woodrow Nash. My works evoke a strong emotional response from viewers; a sense of history and legacy into a future world that appreciates strength and beauty among people of African descent throughout the world.
