VIEW IN MY ROOM
This Painting/Sculpture is called Palata Dorado, which ( I believe ) is Spanish for Silver Gold. This sculpture / painting is stunning. It is very unique and a real one of a kind. Guaranteed to be original. ( who else would do work like this ? ) The painting is in two tones of Silver all over with a slash of Gold. The main theme of this work is wealth. Silver and Gold are valuable minerals and the main visual character of the painting is the Dollar symbol $. This is my interpretation of the wealth that comes out of the ground in the form of SILVER and GOLD. The medium is very textured and heavy in weight The bulkiness of the piece was intended to represent the minerals in the earth. This bulk gives fantastic shadow lines in just about any light situation. The character of this piece can follow you as you pass by. The style is modern abstract impressionism. I know that is a mouth full but it represents what i feel about this artwork. I have been using heavy textured mediums since 2006 with many artworks so far. But I keep coming back to this very visual medium. I hand make the timber frame and use a quality marine grade plywood on top. This strength is needed to carry the weight of the medium. The painting is 81cm wide x 122cm high and 5cm thick. It weighs 11.3 kgs. It will be shipped in a crate for your protection. On the back is a Signed and Dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushion to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination.
