Limited Edition of 25. This is a joint piece between myself and my son, Fred Gordon. Fred sculpted the Ram. The prototype was a very silly ceramic sheep which was kiln fired. The problem we had to overcome was to sculpt wool that would survive the casting process and this is the result...many hours of twisting strands of wax!

Born in Warwickshire, Helen moved to the West Country, firstly to read European Studies at The University of Bath in 1981 and latterly, in 1994, to set up home with her family in The Chew Valley, where she remains to this day, having done a stint in London working as a graduate trainee with Bass Charrington. Having always led a creative life, whether painting in water colours, interior design (she featured in "25 Beautiful Homes) or garden design, for the past fifteen years her focus has been sculpting, which she happened upon when she agreed to accompany a friend on a ceramics course for one afternoon a week at The Bristol School of Art. She was instantly hooked and has not looked back. Interest in her work grew and she began to start selling her pieces professionally. Helen's studio is at her home in the Chew Valley and she is also represented by galleries in the South of England. As well as open exhibitions and Arts Trails, she also sells via her website Creating both animal and figurative sculpture, her pieces tend towards being quirky and amusing and certainly eclectic. In Helen's words "If a finished sculpture makes me smile then I am satisfied". Helen works primarily in wax and clay and most of her pieces are limited editions and are cast in bronze or cold cast bronze resin. Her last five sculptures have been commissions.
