ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This bowl is an example for my favorite designs, combining segmented woodwork with semi-precious stones, such as turquoise-blue Howlite. Some of the woods used are Brazilian Cherry, Bolivian Rosewood, Ivorywood, and Honey Mesquite. The blue-colored Howlite closely resembles Turquoise, and the mineral itself is often referred to as "white turquoise" or "white buffalo stone". In the context of crystal healing, Howlite is thought to have properties that help relieve stress, provide mental stability, and strengthen bones among other benefits. As for general care instructions, it is recommended to keep the bowl in a dry, stable environment (indoors), and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Some woods tend to darken over time.
