Art Description

Sculpture: Wood, Stone, Steel, Kinetic on Wood, Stainless Steel, Stone.

Siam is a standing kinetic sculpture. its made of black dolomite crystal, stone, stainless steel, and wood veneer. The composition is meant to connect the viewer to nature’s ferocity and ancient mystery, and to mimic our own small but powerful place in this world. The kinetic attribute of the sculpture creates a metaphysical connection between the viewer and the object. The physical presence of the person changes the immediate future of this seemingly lifeless object. Alternatively, the sculpture can have a pacifying, meditative effect on the viewer. Not only can a person affect the object, but the changing dynamics of the object also determines the person's future state of mind.
