With a love of creating artwork through clay, this series pays homage to the environment, climate change and mother earth's elements of nature - wind, water, earth, air and fire. Inspired by one of my illustrations, this original decorative wall sculpture, made by hand from white raku clay and glazed in a white gloss, embellished with pointillism, interesting texture and ornate decoration, exposed areas are carved back to the raw clay colour to evoke a deeper connection to Mother Nature. This sculpture was accidentally broken and, inspired by the kintsugi repairing technique in this instance glued back together with epoxy glue then painted with gold enamel highlights over the break points to give it new life. It is inspired by the belief in the beauty of imperfections This is a unique one of a kind sculpture. An organic evolution with each sculpture, each piece is unique, no two are the same. Displayed together as a series this will be stunning addition to any wall space, a unique conversation piece.
