About The Artwork

The Mermaid is captured floating in a moment of serene contemplation, delicately balancing above out-stretched coral arms while listening intently to the song of the sea in the shell she holds to her ear. A slight smile plays across her lips as she loses herself in the song --- the sound of the sea running through our veins. Lisbeth says “I have always been inspired by the mystery of the sea. I feel a deep connection to water and the ocean.” The Mermaid’s powerful form gracefully rises to the surface, as if from the depths of imagination itself. Her hair is swept by ocean currents as her face turns up towards the light and the sky. The infinity symbol in the composition curves the entire length of The Mermaid’s body from her swirling tresses down to the tip of her tail. The infinity symbol represents the boundless depths and vastness of the ocean. **The Mermaid bronze is featured in new film "The Rangers" - to be released in 2015!** Lisbeth Sabol's exquisite sculptures are cast using the lost wax method of bronze-casting to capture the intricate detail of each piece. Hand-applied patinas add subtle color variation. The Mermaid is cast in bronze and available in an artist limited edition of 100. Each limited edition bronze is signed and numbered by the artist. Known for her evocative, graceful sculptures in bronze and stone, Ms. Sabol has shown in galleries in New York City, London, Honolulu, New Zealand, and Italy. Her sculptures can be seen in the public collections of Rocky Mountain National Park, Glacier National Park, Quiet Waters Park, and in many private collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her work has won awards in regional, national, and international exhibitions.
