About The Artwork
A Chumash Indian woman soaks up the sun in a moment of serenity and peace. This piece has great asthenic detail. She was created as a maquette for a life size sculpture that was sculpted for a public art piece. The life size piece now rest in front of a building in Agoura Hills California. The life size is also available upon request. The young native american is posed sitting on an oak tree while taking in the sun. Next to her the viewer will find a basket of acorns. acorns were a main stable of the Chumash people. She is in her tradition dress with fringe and shells sewed to her deerskin skirt and her neck is adorn with several shell necklaces.

When I was in high school I begged my father for a book about the old masters and took as many classes in art as I could. I have continued this passion throughout my life. My subjects have been the things I find beautiful. I enjoy My family, friends, my animals and the breath taking views of the ocean an mountains around me. It all inspires me.
