Noemi Safir is a contemporary figurative artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay and raised in Israel, she creates original acrylic paintings that explore feminine presence, vulnerability, resilience, intimacy, and emotional freedom. Her work centers on women as complex human figures: mothers, daughters, sisters, and individuals navigating longing, pressure, tenderness, desire, and strength. Through bold color, stylized forms, and deconstructed composition, she transforms portraiture into emotional storytelling that feels both personal and universal. Safir works primarily in acrylic on canvas and has exhibited internationally in Israel, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, New York, and Johannesburg. She has shown at The Other Art Fair and continues to develop a body of work focused on female identity, inner tension, and the search for self expression. I paint women as emotional protagonists. My work explores vulnerability, pressure, freedom, tenderness, and strength through bold color and contemporary figurative language.
