ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sculpture: surfite, Resin, Glass, Steel, Marble on Glass, Steel, Marble. Since 2016, the artist has been upcycling Surfite (Spent surf resin) into expressive and emotionally evocative colorful pieces. The shapes and outcomes of each installation are dictated roughly by a shape in the artist's mind but strongly guided by the color veins revealed by the process. Each color in each sculpture represents a surfboard existing in Los Angeles county.
