About The Artwork

Motors and backlight are not guaranteed as experimental. They are therefore offered with the purchase of the work. “ You entered. You looked at me sideways. Then still looking at me in the eyes you walked slowly to face me. We don’t know each other but we immediately entered into our respective memories.” He aims to offer to many art lovers the possibility of opening an interior dialogue on the time that passes through and constitutes their lives. This time ruler begins before us, then voluntarily or not we enrich it and finally leave it in whole or in part to our future generations. On the canvas, the paint mixed with concrete offers a solid base creating a defined memory, bequeathed or imposed. This memory, like its effects, I stretch, shrink, brush and paint it, playing with it and all its related souvenirs. This lengthy process uses History and creates memory holes. Comes the time to rewrite, rebuild and then embellish the past to create an happy renewal to come. You won’t find here a rational explanation to this painting but an incomplete set of keys matching locks sometimes hidden or voluntarily forgotten in us, in the other. Reminding us that the human is fragile constantly in search of oneself. My painting is a snapshot bringing forward the essential link between our Spirit and our soul, sources of our strengths, weaknesses and shared feelings.

SAVE About The Artwork Our memories would belong to us and yet they are filled with bequeathed memories, desired or not. David Lasry paints memoirs with a mixture of acrylic and concrete paints. He acsses them and rewrites his memories in order to free our memories with a permanent freedom. In the United States as in Europe, his works enrich collections because they open a constructive dialogue with the soul of the viewers. His painting is certainly an encounter with oneself. “ You entered. You looked at me sideways. Then still looking at me in the eyes you walked slowly to face me.
