la donna in Sardegna è sempre stata il simbolo della famiglia, il matriarcato in Sardegna esiste dalla notte dei tempi...L'economia dominante è sempre stata la pastorizia e l'agricoltura, attività che costringevano l'uomo a stare anche mesi lontano dalla famiglia, quindi la crescita dei figli e il governo della casa spettava alla donna. Questa scultura vuole essere un piccolo tributo alla donna sarda e con questa evidenzio la forza della donna con un metallo rugoso dalla ruggine per rafforzare la figura femminile.
