Year of the Rooster Sculpture - Limited Edition of 3

I have always been intrigued by Ancient Folklore. One of my favorite legends is the story of the Great Race and the birth of the Chinese Zodiac. My mission in this project was to sculpt these legendary characters interacting with their Earthly Branches and patinated with their Elemental Colors. The Rooster who is gold, representing Metal is one of 12 pieces in this collection. All hand sculpted using mixed medium, cast in bronze using the lost wax process, and mounted on a granite base. Hard work done with lots of love and a little bit of magic! The Rooster, who came in tenth in the Great Race, is a seeker of wisdom and truth and has a pioneering spirit. The granite base is 8x4x1.
