For over 15 years, Fredi Gertsch has dedicated himself to painting with passion and devotion. Two sources shape his works: Many paintings emerge 100% from his imagination, without references – pure imagination that flows into poetic landscapes, urban scenes, playful still lifes, and characterful animal portraits. Other works begin with a digital sketch (Procreate, Midjourney), which serves as a visual notebook. But during the painting process, he freely transforms the template – changes colors, adds symbols, abstracts. This creates independent, unmistakable paintings that clearly bear his signature. He finds inspiration in songs, films, legends, social issues, and the colorful chaos of everyday life. Cows, sheep, flowers, and other animals repeatedly appear as protagonists in his visual worlds – sometimes humorous, sometimes poetic, sometimes critical.
