Ferhard started painting at age 48 as a 'mental escape' from the corporate world. He cited Jose Parla, Julie Mehrehtu, Swedish artist Astrid Sylwan and German Charline Von Heyl as main influence in his early start to painting. He is a great admirer of Spanish master Joan Miro. He works with mixed medium and sometimes includes patches of peeled paint from his palette which he consider 'very intimate'. Ferhard is born in 1964, Singapore, he is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My paintings are my personal exploration and are my own perception of beauty. You are free to interpret. Its your own connection, your own space, your own unique personal story.
