A stormy weather front at the sea - a semi abstract painting that expresses the feelings and emotions in storm - each storm has its own beauty, can destroy old structures and make room for new development and processes... and last but not least: storms make beautiful skies!

Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Later she has discovered the power of watercolors and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape and the traces the landscapes have left in her soul. So far, her works have been exhibited in galleries, art fairs and museums in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Italy, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collections of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England, Landesverband Lippe, Kunstverein Schwalenberg and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
