This drawing is part of my series “Touch”, inspired by deeply personal and intimate moments that everyone experiences and needs. These moments reflect both the unity of two people and a shared human experience — something universal that connects us, even when it feels private and deeply individual. ...

Kseniia Perfileva is a contemporary artist working primarily in sculpture and drawing. Born in 1991 in Ivanovo, Russia, she began her career as a computer graphics artist in a video game studio, where she studied digital painting, 3D modeling, form stylization, and composition. This early experience left a strong imprint on her artistic language: in painting, it manifests through her use of pure, expressive colors and dynamic perspectives, while in sculpture, it appears in her search for fluidity of form and an engagement with space. In 2022, following a profound existential shift, Kseniia radically changed her path and enrolled at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts to study sculpture. There, she mastered a wide range of materials — including clay, plaster, bronze, and marble — as well as contemporary media such as different types of resin. Over time, she discovered that the essence of her practice lies not merely in technique, but in imbuing her works with meaning and creating conceptual statements about the self and the world. Inspired by the human body and its plasticity, Kseniia explores the nonverbal language of poses and gestures, convinced that they can express more than words ever could. In her figurative works, she conveys emotions and states of being through movement, stylization of form, silhouette composition, and deliberate pauses — moments where absence and emptiness speak more powerfully than the image itself.
