I have been a New Yorker since 1968, the year I arrived from the Dominican Republic to work as an advertisement designer and illustrator for the Reuben H. Donnelley Corporation in the Yellow Pages. Later I worked drawing for Magna Marketing Services. As a freelance artist, I illustrated and designed many album covers, posters, flyers, and newspaper ads. I did political cartoons in some magazines and sports cartoons for the newspaper El Caribe in Santo Domingo, DR.
