Eddie Botha is a Melbourne, Australia based artist. There is an abundance of influences in his work, but ultimately, it's about people and how we relate to each other, nature, technology and religion. Mixed media is used to create entertaining and humorous, yet serious paintings and drawings. Eddie enjoys art so much and find it to be a wonderful emotional outlet. Nature v/s technology is a common theme, and lately he has become more Australian but the vibrant colours of Africa, and simplicity of Asia is still visible. The list goes on and it's always evolving. He wants people to interpret the stories for themselves, and think about it positively. There are always deep meaning in the works. Eddie is very well traveled and he likes to believe that he speaks on behalf of an International audience on contemporary issues. That, at least is his aim in Art. Provoke thaught and educate on moral and emotional levels. Eddie had dozens of successful exhibitions through the Newcastle and Sydney region and 3 in London in the past 24 months. His artwork was also acquired by Bill Granger for his restaurant in Tokyo! Recently in Nov 2012, he had a sold-out show in Melbourne, Brunswick street. It can be said that his work is becoming more collectable. Please do have a look at eddie's website at for more information.
