I grew up on a farm in The Netherlands, and this instilled a love of nature in me. I love drawing farm houses, barns, and landscapes. The other love is animals. I illustrate for my own poetry, which is generally in a cartoonish fashion. These pictures are also used for flashcards in EFL teaching. I resided in Hong Kong for 16 years with my wife and two children. I do not really have adequate time for long painting sessions, as I teach part-time, coach teachers, write scripts and have a household to run, but I do what I can. My personal preferences are pencil and gouache at the moment.
