More information on Born in 1972 in Belgium, I extend my sincere appreciation for taking a moment to explore my artistic endeavors. To me, my art is a symphony of speed, precision, creation, human connection, and an enduring passion for drawing. My process is an unfiltered journey, a "shot from the hip," where spontaneity meets intention. After an extensive search for the perfect medium, I discovered the expressive power of Chinese Ink, and my exploration came to a halt. Immersed in this medium, I dip my brush into the ink, allowing myself to relax and create a face with the barest essential lines. This process is adaptable to any size paper or canvas, employing an array of brushes of different sizes. The focal point of my work is the eyes, as they breathe life into the art. Once the ink has dried, I often infuse vibrant color accents using gouache paint. My artistic style seamlessly blends elements of action painting, figurative painting, and the free-spirited essence of doodling. Can this be doodleisme ? ...
