DAMSS: Fibers develop into Art. DAMSS is the name with which Daniela Arnoldi, environmental engineer, and Marco Sarzi-Sartori, architect, since 2000 sign the exclusive works of Art that they create as a pair, with an unmistakable style. DAMSS use mainly natural or manmade fabrics, yarns and fibres to create sculptures, pictures and installations, focusing on industrial waste fabrics and theyr manipulation. The underlying theme of the works is the intrinsic value of the reuse and development of the medium connected to the strong technical textiles, maximum creativity and freedom of expression. The creative action of DAMSS aims to use art to promote industrial textile recycling using new languages. Their works, often monumental, transform fiber into structure, creating "material maps" that investigate the link between urban history and futuristic visions. Based in Milan, the heart of Italian design, DAMSS reinterprets classical iconography through a physical, instinctive, and technically extreme gesture, bringing textile matter into a new sculptural dimension. Among their most significant exibitions : The installation at the spazio Cruciani EXPO 2015 Milan, K&S London and Dublin, Biblioteca nazionale Braidense Brera Milan, Normandy impressionist festival, site installation at XXI Triennal international design Milan,The installation THE SIGN for the anniversary of Miniartextil,The personal exibition at San Marino Republic,Personal exibition at Museo Messina Milan,The installation The waves of life at Parco ducale di Parma.Personal exibition at Asia's leading international design week Shangai.
