ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Throughout history, women have been told to be seen and not heard, to remain soft, delicate, fragile..like a flower. Well, rose thorns cut, they can withstand very harsh conditions and some flowers bloom in the coldest, most deadly terrains. This series is a nod to the strength, beauty, and resilience of women. Subject photographed by me, digitally composited, printed to heavy duty paper and attached to a handmade wood panel frame, brushed with gold leaf foil, ink and graphite then sealed in resin.
