Art Description: ORIGIN OF LOVE, 2005 (TinyHongKong Collection) Location: Sheung Wan Camera: Leica M6 Print on Fine Art Smooth paper 200 gram *The artwork was developed from the film more than 10 years ago. We did a lot of procedures including handcraft and AI enhancement to make this work comes true, from a low-resolution photo, and make it paint-liked texture. It’s fun to try and error many times in this experimental process. It may not be perfect, but the imperfection made it Art. Story of the Artwork: ORIGIN OF LOVE is about human intimacy, also telling about my home place Hong Kong. All the relationship is complex and contains different emotions, it’s complex and mixed with Love and Hate. Just like my feeling to this Tiny island when I see the changes of Hong Kong. In the era of a fast-changing society, is it hard to learn to cherish? We all cannot only choose to accept what we love, ORIGIN OF LOVE is about how to accept what we do not love so that your love can go further. That's the story of this artwork.
