"I am intuitive artist painting my dreams and experiences. on waking so my dreams come alive on paper. I live and work in a village outside Jerusalem on the way to Tel Aviv. I love color, and movement. My paintings express the joy of life. My garden and its flowers and trees are my daily inspiration. Everyday I paint flowers and watch as they change and get older and more interesting. I love watercolors for their immediateness and the colors are so vibrant. I love paint abstract watercolors which mirror my feelings and absorb the feelings around me. My art is in private and public collections worldwide I grew up in Zimbabwe, and South Africa, the animals, the sunsets, the trees and wide open spaces are all part of my creations. Living in Jerusalem for over 50 years has impacted my art as well the intensity of life here, the spirituality of the city and the feeling of immediacy. My art is in the collection of the Israel Museum, The Tel Aviv Museum, The Ben Uri Museum and Gallery, London and Museu da Agua Lisbon. I received the 2008 Gold Medal at the Olympic Fine Art Exhibition Beijing China..My art has been exhibited in Museums and Galleries worldwide in over 90 exhibitions- in Europe, China, Japan, Russia, the USA, the UK, Africa and Israel My 30 solo exhibitions include the Irma Stern Museum Cape Town 2018; Ben Uri Gallery and Museum, London; The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Harare and Bulawayo; Spier, Stellenbosch, South Africa; Museu Aqua, Lisbon; Leighton House Museum, London; Zaritsky Artists ‘ House, Tel Aviv; The Artists’ House Jerusalem Highlights of group exhibitions include” Osaka Triennial Print” Japan, 1998“Second Beijing International Art Biennale” Beijing 2005; “Olympic Fine Art Exhibition” Beijing 2008, 111 and IV National Drawing Biennale in Israel”- 2007 and 2010; “The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition” London 2015; “The Original Print Show” curated by Norma Ackroyd CBE RA, The Zillah Bell Gallery, Thirsk, UK, 2015; “The Masters Etching” The Royal Society of Painters – Printmakers, London, 2016 Prizes: 1991 Diplome D'Honneur Grand Prix International D'Arts Plastique, Nice, France 2002 Official Artist of the EDTA Congress Copenhagen Denmark 2008 Gold Medal Olympic Fine Art Exhibition Beijing China
